Privacy Policy

Provisional version. This text describes our current handling of website inquiries and is subject to review by the company owner and a legal adviser.

1. Who is responsible

The data controller for this website is Ningbo Jia'an Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. ("CandidPharm"), Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, China. Questions about this policy can be sent to inquiry@candidpharm.com.

2. What we collect

The fields you fill in yourself when you submit a quotation request or a contact form: your name, company, email address, and any phone number, product name, CAS number, specification, quantity, destination and message you choose to enter.
The IP address of the request that submits the form.
An approximate country, region, city and timezone derived from that IP address. We store only those values - no coordinates are requested or stored, and the result is an approximation that can be affected by a VPN, proxy, mobile network or carrier gateway.
A language-preference cookie so that the site remembers whether you read the English or the Chinese pages.

3. Why we collect it

We use the data to answer your inquiry and to follow it up internally - replying by email, checking availability with partner manufacturers, and preparing a quotation. The approximate region helps our sales team understand which market an inquiry comes from. We do not sell the data, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Where it is stored

Inquiries are stored on servers located in Hong Kong, in two separate databases: the website content-management database, which receives the submission, and our customer-relationship (CRM) database, to which the submission is forwarded so that a colleague can follow it up. Access is limited to our own staff accounts.

5. Third parties

To turn an IP address into an approximate region we send that address to an IP lookup service. Private, loopback and reserved addresses are never sent. Apart from our hosting provider and that lookup, we do not pass inquiry data to third parties unless it is needed to answer your inquiry (for example asking a partner manufacturer about a product, which we do without your contact details).

6. Deletion and access

Write to inquiry@candidpharm.com from the address you used, and we will tell you what we hold about your inquiry or delete it from both databases. We keep inquiry records while the commercial discussion is open and for our own business records afterwards; no fixed retention period has been set yet, and this section will be updated once one has been agreed.

7. Changes

If we change how inquiry data is handled, we update this page and its effective date.
